Review - The Girl Who Played with Fire

IMDB, Wikipedia
Score: 3/5
Language: Swedish with English subs
Genre: Crime Thriller
(Orig Titile: Flickan som lekte med elden)

Summary: 2nd film in the Millennium Trilogy (The first being, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which I've previously reviewed). A year has passed since the first film. Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace), returns to Sweden after having been away for most of that year and becomes the prime suspect in three murders. Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) does what he can to prove her innocence.

Comments: While enjoying this film, I did not enjoy it as much as the first film. I think it was a combination of the pacing, style and complexity of the plot. While the first film was more of a whodunit crime thriller with a complexity to it, this film's story is a lot more basic with a touch of conspiracy. Also the interactions between Lisbeth and Mikael in the first film really added to it. In this film they spend the majority of it apart.
